Ensuring the demonstration theme is not seen when registered

When the family history software program GENP runs as a trial the GenBases (genealogical databases) have the GENP_Demo theme.

Whilst you are undertaking a trial of the program new GenBases will have the GENP_Demo theme.

How to ensure new GenBases do not have the GENP_Demo theme.

Go to Preferences then tabsheet Themes.

Ensure that the Override Theme is blank.

Ensure that the Substitute Theme is blank.

The following graphic shows how that part of Preferences should look.

How to set existing GenBases to have no theme.

You can set existing GenBases to have no theme. This applies to those GenBases you have created or the ones that come with the program such as the demonstration ones.

Go to System-Tables then Databases.

Then the tabsheet Theme.

Lets take the example of the Keipert database.

The following graphic shows how part of the Theme tabsheet looks having chosen Keipert using the Ellipsis button.

Databases Theme for Keipert Before with theme

Ensure that the Theme is blank.

The following graphics show how part of the Theme tabsheet should now look.

Databases Theme for Keipert After with no theme

Click on the Process button to save your changes.

Having shown how to perform this task with the demonstration Keipert GenBase it needs to be made clear that we are not advising you to do this with the demonstration GenBases.

Keeping the demonstration theme with the demonstration GenBases, we believe, makes it easier to distinguish those GenBases from the ones you create. However, the final decision is yours.
