Using a generated Slideshow

You will have been sent a generated Slideshow from your cousin or just generated the Slideshow in the Slideshow Wizard using GENP.

It will have a name like 'Slideshow1.exe'.

(If you have just generated it in the Slideshow Wizard then the name of the generated Slideshow will be seen on the Test tabsheet and its directory on the Finish tabsheet.)

To run the slideshow double click the file and it will automatically run. (Alternatively you may have set your operating system to run a file on one click.)

This is how the Slideshow will look when run:

Standalone Slideshow Classic style

The above graphic shows the Classic style in action. The slideshow has been paused on slide 10 of 14 slides. Only a single slide is displayed at one time.

Standalone Slideshow Cover Flow style

The above graphic shows the Cover Flow style in action. The slideshow is at its commencing slide. The following slides are stacked to the right. There is a nice mirror effect to the slides.

The above graphic shows the Cover Flow style in action. The slideshow is at its 10th slide of 14. This slide depicts Gwendoline May Keipert. The preceeding slides are stacking to the left whilst the following slides are stacked to the right. There is a nice mirror effect to the slides.

Basic controls

When you hover your mouse over the screen you will see a hint:

Double click for FULL SCREEN

So you can double click the mouse to get a full screen effect.

To exit the full screen either:

Press ESC

Double click.

If you choose Full Screen you see the slide only and not the file name or captions.

Click the information icon to view the Information dialog.

Click the settings icon to view the Settings dialog.

For the Classic style you can Stop the transitons by clicking the square red icon. When stopped the icon becomes a blue Play icon. Click the First icon to return to the first slide.

For the Cover Flow style you can navigate the slides by clicking either the First, Prior, Next or Last icons. You can click on a specific slide and it will move to the central position.

Classic style dialogs

The following graphic shows the Information dialog in the Classic style. The Information dialog displays various information on the slideshow as well as basic instructions on how to use the slideshow.

For example, it displays the Number of images in the slideshow. If there is a title slide then that is noted.

By checking 'Show Filenames' the file names of the slides will be displayed. By checking 'Show Captions' the captions of the slides will be displayed.

Cover Flow style dialogs

The following graphic shows the Information dialog in the Cover Flow style. The Information dialog shows various information on the dialog.

For example, it displays the Number of images in the slideshow. If there is a title slide then that is noted.

By checking 'Show Filenames' the file names of the slides will be displayed. By checking 'Show Captions' the captions of the slides will be displayed. By checking 'Show Mirror' a mirror look with reflections will be seen. By checking 'Show Transparency' one slide will be "seen" through the other. By checking 'Show Horizontal' the slides will be seen horizontally across the window rather than vertically across the window.
