Attribute Type Cloud
This form displays the attribute types available to you using the Tag Cloud paradigm. Use this form to select a type.
Use the Attribute Type Cloud to look through the types and discover the frequency of those types.
The cloud shows types highlighted in various ways. This can be by size of the type and color of the type.
If there are more types than will fit on the screen then the types will be broken into tab sheets of data.
In the above graphic the attribute types available are shown. The most frequently used types are shown in Color level 4 - red. The size of the font for these types is larger than other types. Baptism has been selected and an Explanation of that type is displayed in the Explanation memo. There are too many types to fit on one tabsheet so a second tabsheet is required.
To select a type you need to :
1) Find the type
2) Click on the type (item).
You will then see the attribute type displayed near the bottom of the form.
You will also see an Explanation of the type near the bottom of the form in a memo.
Now click OK.
If this is a new type then you will be returned to the Attribute Detail form. However, if you are switching from an existing type to another you will be prompted to Confirm the switch.
Highlighting an item
If you hover your mouse over an entry then the number of those types will be seen as a hint.
There are different ways to change the way the cloud is displayed :-
Sort by Number
By selecting this the display is arranged with the most frequent type at the top left.
Types are then arranged in descending frequency.
If a number of types have the same frequency then they are arranged in alphabetical order.
This options shifts the types so they are aligned with the Left hand side of the display, the Center of the display, or the Right of the display.
The default setting for displaying attribute type names is the number zero. The effect of this is that all attribute type names will be displayed.
The default number of zero means that if the frequency of a type is one or above then the attribute type name will be displayed.
If the setting was say 8, then displayed will be those types having a frequency of 9 or above.
You can apply four different colors to the attribute type name cloud.
The most frequent is level four.
The types that are the least frequent are level 1.
By clicking this button all the frequencies of the types are reset to 1.
The dialog can be resized so that more attribute types can be seen.
