Utility SYSUPERD Notes

This program is a utility to set the early date (ElyDate) and late date (LatDate) in the GenBase.
Put another way it is to set the correct period in a GenBase.

The name of the utility stands for SYS(tem)U(tility)PER(io)D.

To work the utility must reside in the Genp directory.

When the utility runs entries are written to the log named
'LogSys_SYSU0001.LOG' or similar. There will be an entry for the start
of the operation, the action taken, and the finish of the operation.

If no changes are required then there is no need to perform an update.

The first step is to select the GenBase. Click on the select button and an
Open Dialog will appear. Select the GenBase via its file 'Header.dat'.

When this is done the Settings for the early date and late date will display.

Now click on the Calc button to have the utility calculate the correct period. These
dates will be displayed below the button. If the calculated date is different it
will appear in red.

You will now want to update the dates. It only makes sense to do this if the
calculation has found a difference.

Click the button Update to commence the operation.

The log will have entries like :-

     Utility SYSUPERD SYS Start *****
     Utility SYSUPERD Update committed
     Utility SYSUPERD Updated AMERICA00100
     Utility SYSUPERD ******** Finish

Now run the Statistics report to ensure the period is corrected.

Note - Do not run whilst GENP is running.
