Create a GenBase

Step 1
  • Start the GEDCOM Import Wizard

  • GEDCOM tab. Select ‘GenBaseAny.ged’

  • Prelim tab – just click the Next button
  • Options tab – just click the Next button

  • GenBase tab. Key the name of the GenBase you want to create. Here we have called it Test.

  • Theme tab. We have chosen the theme GENP_America but you don’t have to choose one.

  • Location tab. See how we have chosen the usual place to have our database which is within the folder GenBases. Please note we created a new folder within that called Test. Your GenBase must be in its own folder too.

  • Build tab – just click the Next button. After you click the button your GenBase will be built.

  • You should see this screen which means everything has worked OK.
